Your Responsibilities

You will meet regularly with prospects to evaluate their needs and introduce Ecosystem and our offering. Using your expertise in strategic business development, you will generate leads and build relationships with new and existing clients in different sectors. You will identify and develop large-scale business opportunities and negotiate contracts for multi-million dollar energy performance projects. With a customer-centric approach, you will proactively assess, clarify, and validate client needs on an ongoing basis.

You will work in collaboration with Ecosystem’s multidisciplinary team to develop energy performance project proposals that respond to client expectations, while meeting RFP deadlines and delivering a high level of quality.

Design Project Engineer (Boston)

The Design Project Engineer (1-3 years’ experience) will participate in our multidisciplinary technical team of engineers at Ecosystem. He/she will analyze, design, and verify the energy savings of industry-leading solutions on multi-million-dollar projects. He/she will perform calculations and use simulations tools to develop energy, cooling, and heating models to assess energy savings. Daily tasks involve assessing and reviewing client needs; conceptualizing the mechanical/electrical/control work required to implement energy solutions for buildings; overseeing the implementation of engineering solutions; and supporting operations in the execution of performance contracts.

 Summary of Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze energy bills to identify potential energy savings based on current energy rates and the building’s energy intensity;
  • Analyze mechanical/electrical/control drawings and perform site surveys to understand the operation of the building;
  • Develop Energy Conservation Measures based on the clients’ needs and financial parameters;
  • Develop and perform calculations by using a combination of software and simulating the energy savings of the proposed design;
  • Select equipment based on energy performance;
  • Prepare construction budgets and develop financial models;
  • During the construction phase, technically assist the construction manager;
  • Monitor project performance to ensure that anticipated energy savings are attained;
  • Develop technical concepts and the associated written documents required by the sales team;

Major Responsibilities

The Account Executive’s major responsibilities include:

  • Working with the New England Business Development Manager and the senior leadership team to create a go-to-market strategy and sales plan for the K-12 schools, universities and hospitals in New England and own accountability for its implementation.
  • Increasing the company’s visibility in this new market, positioning Ecosystem as a leading energy solutions firm. Identifying opportunities to position Ecosystem and yourself as a thought leader in the space.
  • Actively managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, including:
    • Establishing a customer base and building out the sales funnel. Continuing to feed the funnel through on going business development activities and by leveraging contacts to source new leads.
    • Meeting regularly with prospects to evaluate their needs and introduce the Ecosystem value proposition. Working with our in-house engineering experts to assess, clarify, and validate client needs at the outset of the relationship and on an ongoing basis.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients at the appropriate decision-making level to enhance client retention, enable cross selling and upselling and create new sales opportunities through referrals and references.
    • Collaborating with Ecosystem’s multidisciplinary team to develop proposals that respond to client’s needs, concerns, goals and objectives, while meeting deadlines and Ecosystem’s exceptional quality standards.
    • Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction by conducting structured feedback at various points of the engagement.
    • Using Salesforce to capture client knowledge, build our market intelligence and report on sales plan progress.
  • Proactively reaching out to team members in all offices to quickly ramp up your knowledge of the Ecosystem model, the solutions we can provide clients, and what makes us different from the competition.

Ideal Experience

A seasoned sales professional with a customer centric approach, you bring either deep industry knowledge or experience opening up new territory for a growing company. Ideally you have:

  • A proven track record as a sales executive or business development manager, who has targeted, pursued and won a sizeable portfolio of key customers.
  • Successfully cultivated relationships throughout client organizations, especially with C-level executives, through a highly developed consultative selling approach.
  • Demonstrated an ability to uncover client needs (explicit and implicit) and qualify prospects to ensure maximum efficiency of the sales organization.

This small and versatile team will responsible for the success of multi-million-dollar projects, and the new Construction Project Engineer will play several roles to ensure that complex energy efficiency projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assessing/verifying mechanical/electrical/structural drawings to ensure the best implementation design;
  • Implementing Energy Conservation Measures, such as combined heat and power, boilers, chillers, ventilation, etc. based on the clients’ needs and financial parameters;
