Patriotes School Board

Patriotes School Board

When the Patriotes School Board launched a call for tenders for an energy efficiency project, their aim was to simplify operations and facilitate maintenance for 26 buildings, notably by shutting down the cooling towers and eliminating all oil heating equipment.

To meet these goals, Ecosystem proposed a set of measures that involve upgrading and improving several electromechanical systems, as well as making use of renewable energy sources including geothermal and aerothermal energy.

Once the project is complete, boilers running on natural gas and electricity will replace those running on oil, and the cooling towers will be replaced by dry coolers. The total energy consumption will drop by 36% and greenhouse gases by 69%.
