Business Development Manager

Position Summary

As a Business Development Manager for Ecosystem, you will be responsible for contributing to the company’s growth, generating new business of multi-million-dollar energy performance projects. The role is ideally suited for an intrapreneurial sales professional driven to identify, develop and close large-scale opportunities. Ecosystem will provide you with the necessary resources and support to reach your objectives. Specific Responsibilities

  • Create a go-to-market strategy and sales plan and be accountable for its execution
  • Increase the company’s visibility, positioning Ecosystem as a leading energy solutions firm
  • Actively manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, including:
    • Target, qualify and contact new prospects
    • Use Salesforce for efficient management of business development activities
    • Collaborate with Ecosystem’s multidisciplinary team to develop proposals that answers client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
    • Participate in developing financial scenarios for projects
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at the appropriate decision-making level and in different departments (finance, engineering, etc.)
    • Ensure client satisfaction

Candidate Profile

  • Experience developing new markets for a growing company
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales position with a complex sales cycle involving multiple stakeholders (strong asset)
  • Successfully cultivated relationships throughout client organizations, especially with C-level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify prospects and uncover client needs (explicit and implicit) to develop customized offers
  • Collaborated with multiple stakeholders to define, develop and deliver projects that exceeded client expectations
  • Highly motivated to increase number of client meetings
  • Experience in the field of energy, engineering, or construction (strong asset)
  • CRM (Salesforce) experience (strong asset)
