Adam Shelly, Director of Project Development, was recently awarded the international title of Energy Engineer of the Year by the Association of Energy Engineers. This special recognition is given to an individual who has demonstrated notable contributions to the profession, which Adam certainly has. Adam is one of many energy professionals who has helped, and continues to, further the energy transition. During the span of his thirteen years in the industry, Adam has become an expert on sustainable engineering. His design process is informed by his ability to think both creatively and logically, leading to innovative, high-performance designs.
“We’re all working together in a complex field. There is no one expert in our industry, but there are experts within our industry,” said Adam. “Knowing who those people are and how to leverage their knowledge and skills, build upon their expertise and communicate results clearly, is more important than any single idea, piece of equipment, or code subsection.”
Over his seven years at Ecosystem, he has proven to be an integral part of the team leading numerous multimillion-dollar projects from inception to completion. With his ever-friendly demeanor, he acts as a trustful bridge between engineering, sales, and marketing.
