The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) has renewed its Hydro-Québec Research Chair in Transactional Management of Electric Energy for an additional five years, thanks to a significant investment of over $3.2 million. Ecosystem, along with Hydro-Québec, Stelpro, Elmec, and research organizations NSERC and MITACS, is a proud partner in this initiative.
By focusing on areas such as electric mobility, home automation, and building systems, the project explores ways to automate and integrate energy consumption flexibility, enhancing overall energy efficiency. UQTR Rector Christian Blanchette emphasized that this renewal reflects the trust placed in UQTR’s research capabilities, highlighting the importance of transforming how energy is consumed, produced, and managed, especially in the context of ecological transition
As a company committed to sustainable energy management, Ecosystem is excited to contribute its expertise and resources to this initiative. With a proven track record of delivering energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions for its clients, we are well-positioned to support the research and development of cutting-edge energy management solutions.
Ecosystem is enthusiastic about the chair’s open intellectual property approach, which will make research results, including software codes, freely available to the global community. This open-access model fosters collaboration and shared innovation, enabling the worldwide application of the research outcomes.
