Ecosystem is working with Toronto Community Housing and The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) to deliver an ambitious energy retrofit project that will improve the carbon footprint and indoor environmental conditions for over 1,200 households.

Ecosystem was selected as the project’s design-build partner after successfully responding to a competitive request for proposals. The company will manage the project according to the Integrated Project Delivery approach, where stakeholders participate in structured charrettes to share ideas and align interests in order to deliver a project with greater value and added benefits.

The project is expected to cut energy costs by 20% and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 24%. The measures implemented include installation of high efficiency boilers, controls upgrades and automation, indoor air quality monitoring, among others.
